About me

Hello! I’m Robbie. I'm a lighting designer originally from Ireland working mainly in the UK and throughout Europe.

After graduating from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow, I spent the majority of my early career working as a technician with companies such as Cirque Du Soleil, The Old Vic Theatre, and Disney. Whilst there, I designed fringe and small scale productions, and worked as an associate lighting designer on larger projects.

From there, my portfolio developed and I’ve been fortunate enough to design projects with esteemed companies including Welsh National Opera, Scottish Opera, The Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh, The English Theatre in Frankfurt, Bristol Old Vic, Theatre by the Lake, Nottingham Playhouse, The Marlowe Theatre, and Greek National Opera.

I am always interested in collaborating on exciting and engaging new productions in circus, theatre, music and opera.
